Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, TNPSC, Applications are invited for direct recruitment to the vacancies in the following posts included in Group-I Services (Service Code. 001) at Chennai.

1. Deputy Collector (Tamil Nadu Civil Service) :
No of Post : 56 posts (33 current and 23 backlog posts),
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree or Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science and also to those who possess National Award for Physical efficiency.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

2. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Category – I) (Tamil Nadu Police Service) :
No of Post : 29 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Degree or Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science and also to those who possess National Award for Physical efficiency.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

3. Assistant Commissioner (Commercial Tax Officer)  (Tamil Nadu Commercial Taxes  Services) :
No of Post : 28 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : First preference – A Degree both in Commerce and Law together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws. Second Preference – A Degree both in Commerce and Law. Third Preference – A Degree either in Commerce or Law together with a Diploma in Taxation Laws.
Fourth Preference – A Degree either in Commerce or Law.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

4. District Registrar (Tamil Nadu Registration Service) :
No of Post : 07 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Candidate should possess a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

5. Assistant Director of Rural Development Dett (Tamil Nadu Panchayat Development Service) :
No of Post : 10 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : First preference – (i) Post Graduate Degree in Rural Service of the Gandhigram Rural Institute, Madurai District. (ii) P.G. Degree or Diploma in Extension. (iii) P.G. Degree or Diploma in Sociology.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.

6. Divisional Officer in the Fire and Rescue Services Department (Category – I) (Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Candidate should possess a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2010.
